Since its appearance, VR has been used in different fields such as games, military training, architectural design, education7 learning and social skil[s training, and simulations of surgical procedures. Assistance to the elderly and psychological procedures are other fields in which VR is emerging. VR is also being used in several other research areas, such as social phenomena and ethics, and could also be used in other fields, such as travel, conferences, industry, news and entertainment. Published research has already shown the efficacy of VR in assessing and treating psychological disorders such as anxiety, depression, depression, and eating disorders; and more research remains to be done in this area.
